You Believe What You Wanna Believe

Madonna has defended superstar pal Tom Cruise against criticism of his Scientology faith, insisting he is a "good person" and should be allowed to worship whatever he likes.

The singer, a follower of Jewish offshoot the Kabbalah, claims it is nobody's business what religion people choose to follow.

She tells New York magazine: "I don't care if people worship turtles or frogs - if they're good people, that's all I care about, and he (Cruise) is a good person. I think he gets a raw deal, just as I think the orphans in Malawi get a raw deal; just as I think a lot of marginalised people get a raw deal."

*Editor's comment:
Now let's just remind ourselves that both Kabbalah nor Scientology are something that man has created and decided to sell out. Remember also, that all the religions are created by men and all of them have twisted the original Word to their own liking and to their own needs. Faith and true believing is a different thing - you only need your heart, soul and the Bible for that. It may not offer you convinient rules and what you want to believe, it might not serve your ego; but the path to enlightenment was never meant to be easy nor does it know shortcuts. ---- I'm not saying this to upset anyone nor am I saying you cannot believe what you want to believe, that is your obvious right. I'm just saying, don't take things face value - study and do what your heart says is true. Disregard what your ego wants because your ego is the number one enemy on the path to enlightenment.
